2002 Communicator Award
Corporate Identity Package Earns
Award of Distinction in International Competition
COLUMBIA, S.C. – April 16, 2002 – A corporate identity package
conceptualized and designed by Shoor & Company has earned an Award of
Distinction from the 2002 Communicator Awards, an international
competition honoring excellence in the communications field.
Shoor & Company received the award for creative developed on behalf
of the Charleston, S.C.-based supply chain management software company
Cambar Software Inc. (CSI)
in the competition’s Print Media "Marketing/Promotion/Image" category.
Shoor & Company developed a new corporate logo for CSI, which includes
a visual element suggesting links in a supply chain, and updated the
firm’s Axis product family logo, as well as designed a folder,
product and services brochures, fact sheet and comprehensive product
catalog. Playing off the planetary imagery employed in the company’s
Axis product logo, Shoor & Company conceptualized a quirky
outer-space motif, which included flying saucers, eerie landscapes,
funky rocket ships and '50s-style robots, which was used throughout
the collateral to help tie the pieces together.

Some 3,660 entries from throughout the United States and several
other countries were judged by industry professionals in this year’s
Communicator Award’s Print Media Competition. The Communicator Awards
program was established to recognize the superior work of advertising
and PR agencies, corporate communications departments, educational
institutions, government entities, designers, writers, video
production professionals, broadcast and cable operations, and other
businesses and individuals involved in the communications field.
